How to get your Ouvvi Service Running if it won't start under Network Service

If you are using the default Network Service as the service user account and are finding that the service will not start you need to enable permissions on the child folders.

To do this navigate to C:\Program Files\Simego and right click onto the Data Synchronisation Studio 3.0 folder.

Open the properties window by selecting Properties, then open the security tab and click Advanced.

Security Tab

You may need to click onto Change Permissions if the checkbox doesn't appear straight away.

Change Permissions

Check the checkbox next to Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object.

Enable Permissions

You should now be able to start your service from the deployment manager as normal.
